The Wild West Mural Fest began as an extension to the Art Walk West programming in 2018, organized by local artists. The initiative aims to bring new public mural works to the West Dallas community, from both DFW-based and national artists.

Fourteen new walls were created during the 2018 inaugural fest in West Dallas.

Fifteen new walls were created during the 2019 festival.

Twenty new walls were created during the 2020 festival

Twenty five new walls were created during the 2021 festival.
